Bio of the therapist

A licensed Clinical Psychologist accredited by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health and a member of the Lebanese Psychological Association. He holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with more than five years of professional experience in mental health and psychosocial support across hospitals, medical centers, schools, educational institutions, and local and international humanitarian organizations.

He specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and provides individual and group counseling and psychological support services. His expertise includes case management, psychological crisis intervention, emergency mental health response, and supporting individuals and families affected by war, displacement, trauma, and physical injuries. As a Psychologist with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), he provided psychological support to patients and families affected by conflict and severe injuries while working closely with multidisciplinary medical teams.

Previously, he served as Team Leader of the Psychosocial and Educational Support Program at SOS Children’s Villages, overseeing psychosocial protection programs, supervising staff, managing cases, and supporting children and families. He also worked as a Counselling Officer with the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), delivering individual and group counseling services to vulnerable populations affected by crises and displacement.

His professional experience includes working extensively with children, adolescents, adults, and families in clinical, educational, humanitarian, and private practice settings. He collaborates closely with medical, social, and educational professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for clients.

In addition to his clinical work, he has received specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychological First Aid (PFA), psychosocial support, stress management, trauma-informed care, and emergency psychological interventions. He has extensive experience designing and delivering workshops and training programs on mental health, self-care, psychosocial protection, resilience-building, and stress management for healthcare professionals, educators, humanitarian workers, volunteers, and community members.

Throughout his career, he has contributed to promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma surrounding mental health care, supporting individuals and families affected by crises, and training mental health professionals on a wide range of psychosocial support and psychological care topics.
